The aim of the museum and the members of the operating association is to maintain and constantly expand a site for the presentation of - mainly German - aviation history.
 
The museum is run by the non-profit association Luftfahrt-Museum Laatzen-Hannover e.V.. The staff work in the museum on a voluntary basis and with pleasure. Anyone who wants to can work here.
